How much would you pay for a 16" to 18" fire eel?

last and only 30 incher ive seen was the largest in canada and it was going for 1000

I think that was the one at Aquatic Kingdom in 2010. It was 40 inches not 30. It was raised by George. Another hobbyist (Bill) in the Woodstock area had a 39" in the 90's. I have a 30" plus one also and have raised a larger one.

I know one guy in Austria has several in the 35-40" range.. Apparently he gets all kinds of crazy offers for them.
