The Mediator of your tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My syn breaks up fights. Especially w/ my nic and rostratus who are constantly going at it. He also stops my robertsoni from attacking my JD. It's pretty funny that it works. A lot of the time it seems like its the largest and most dominate fish that does this.

Tried one in my group growing out. Similar sized cichlids and my JD and Freddy chased it to near death. Lost it in a qt tank after it refused to eat from the stress. All cichlids were the same size around 3.5 to 4".

Not saying they couldn't work, just that I tried and failed......

It used to be a 17" indo and 26" emperor snakehead, nuclear deterrants both of them..

Now i dont have a moderator unfortunately but i'm hoping one of my 12"ish ITs will grow into that role..

Hmmm... maybe a parrot fish? He was hecka mean. He wouldnt tolerate any other agression. He wouldnt attack anybody but he would chase the bully around the tank so much the bully almost died of stress. My datnoid was the bully, he got pissed off at my ebjd who was trying to breed with his girl. Then the parrot fish swooped in and cornered the dat, scared him ****less. you could see the fear on his face. And then i gave away the parrot fish because the lfs wouldnt give me credit. Then i walk in the next week and the greedy SOB wants 100$ for the parrot fish they couldnt even give me a dollar in credit for!!? I wasnt pissed so much as my mom was. She was ticked! She threatened to never come back. Of course we were there 3 days later for some fertz. LOL.

LMAO...A post by Mr. Biggleswoth rarely disapoints for some good laughs.Keep em coming Biggs!

My driftwood!

Out of my current grow-out stock, my small orino peacock bass breaks up fights between the two pike cichlids and my wife-murdering blue gourami. The gourami is a huge troll that starts fights by touching the other fish with his feelers, and the lil' cheater wears down the pikes by sipping air at the top of the tank. The orino usually smacks him on the side or tail, right on the gourami's spots, and even though the pike cichilds give him a lot of backtalk, he's definitely the tank boss.

Fights don't break out often in my tanks, but I have seen my CBG break up my 2 FLG, all he has to do is posture and if they're fin nipping they scram. And my eel keeps my male ray in check evey now and then.
