Is Unungy still a vendor?

I can't find him on the vendor page. I saw he was running specials on aquabid and wanted to see if he had them here to mix and match as opposed to 5 or 6 of the same pleco.

Let me know if you know anything.

he rarely post on forums. best way is to contact him via phone or email. also when u contact him make sure you are ready to buy. asking to much questions will make him think you're a flaker and will make him to ignore you. dude has a ignore list of emails etc..so sometimes contacting/asking him questions is a pain.
 
Thats just bad business not to mention service.

Ill never buy off him again for that exact reason.

Who just tosses several hundred or thousands of dollars at someone and doesnt want to know about the fish theyre buying.

Answer= only a fool

Now I know why he had so many issues with members here.
I thought it was them when infact its him.

Guess I'm a fool (not really a surprise). I like Saul and he is the main reason I have so many great plecos. We all have our quirks but you have to understand his perspective. I think he turely wants to advance the breeding of rare plecos for all our benifit and that is his focus not selling individual fish. He spends a lot of time educating people like me that would like to eventually breed something rare like LDA105, L273 etc. He could probably make more money focussing on individual sales but that's not his thing so if your just looking for a single fish you won't get his attention. There are a lot of places to get a single fish, but how many places can you get 5 LDA105 >6"? I only know of one - Saul so cut him a little slack. He works hard getting the rareest plecos and wants them to advance the hobby through breeding and not just spend their lives as only a show fish. There is room for a specialized vender like Saul in our hobby, he is just not for everyone.
 
He doesnt give a crap about the advacement of anything but his pocket book.

Fyi- I never once complained about the 5 min.
That 5 min policy really is futile when he allows you to mix the 5 you buy. So he truly could careless about promoting captive breeding he really just wants to make sure hes making a certain ammount of money off each sale

He just knows how to play the game
 
I didnt mean to start a war over his practices.. as far as the 5 minimum if he allows you to mix and match he isnt concerned about the brreeding.

I was asking about mixing because I already have some L24 and L25s and do not another of 5 of either but maybe 1 or 2 of each.

Theres no need to argue about this. Just talk to him to get your answers. I think the 5 min rule with him is great. I hope to do business with him one day. He does a great job getting fish that cant be found easily.
