Hey all I was just sitting at home when I heard a few big splashes in the tank. So I got up and I could see that one of my peacock bass had something big in its mouth. I turned on the lights to this sight of pure raw animal aggression. I took some pics nd a video. I will post the videos next. The convict is one of three that have been in the tank for a while. Looks like the bass gonna have a time trying to get this down especially with the other bass trying to take it. Enjoy the pics.

You may want to watch that for a while, the con looks lodged in pretty good, if its not made any progress in a few ours and the con is dead, cut out the dead fish. Otherwise it could severely hurt your hungry looking bass

Yea funny thing happed that i didnt get on tape was my other peacock bass were trying to get at the convict still and in the process the convict got lodged partly thru the gill. I was getting all ready to take him out and remove the convict when one of the bass tried to bite at the head of the convict thru the gill plate and knocked the convict completely out the bass' mouth. I have been watchin the bass he seems ok the covict is hiding some where but it was a lot of commotion for a while in the tank. I will post the videos in a sec.

my buddy had a few 13" wild monos he got from a guy who sane nets bass from the everglades and it ended up eating a 6" largemouth and it died trying to swallow it. if its not too late i would catch the pbass and take the convict out of its mouth slowely so it doesnt rip the pbass's insides out. maybe use scissors to cut the dorsal fin as you pull it out. the key is to pull it out very slowely and before the fish gets entirely inside the pbass. goodluck

woops i didnt read the last post you send my bad. glad everything worked out but in the future use what i wrote and if it happens again that is what you are supposd to do to rescue the pbass. i know it looks cool and would make that bass a fatty if he safely got it down but most likely it would kill him.
