The ban that was on in South America has been lifted recently. Therefore a lot of pseudas and the like are now available. You can find larger indiviuals on aquabid all the time now. As far as breeding the L-25's and 24's are next to impossible unless you have a pond with mud banks. Not saying it can't be done but it can take years. I had a trio of L-600's in a 200 gallon for 4 years and no breeding ever occurred. Then male then killed the two females over the 4 year period and I gave him to someone on this site.

you dont need mud banks quite a few people have bread them theres a great article on planet catfish about it large clay pots work

Saul is around and a good vendor to deal with. I just ordered 3 L-25 & 2 L-24. He threw in 2 xingu royals. All came in great condition and a nice person to deal with on the phone. I would buy from him again.

attached a picture of some L25 pairing up. I'm not a breeder or trying to be one but I deeply believe it is possible to breed LDA105 L25 L24 and others. We just haven't had an opportunity to bring them in big numbers but now it should be possible with so many people bringing them in. Hopefully the prices also adjusts so everyone can have a group or two.
The pairing up happened in one of my holding tank while a 90% water change was performed after a Levamisole treatment was taking place.
The pair was sold to Singapore, I wish them good luck.
