Seeing issue come and go. Not sure if its the eyes or balance issue. A lot of times they would miss the pellet like they have double vision or something. Most likely caused by water quality...too much ammonia or nitrate.

hmmmm, i did do a water change today so there shouldnt be much ammonia or nitrate in the tank at all really, but i'll check it tonight after supper.... and he is the only fish in the tank and is tiny so he isnt creating alot of nitrate i wouldnt think either

alright did a test of ammonia and nitrate, and came up up with 20ppm nitrate which is whats in my tap water basically, and i have a reading of ammonia at either 0 or .25ppm hard to tell very close to the zero (yellow) and .25(light yellow/green) i did a dose of SAFE which should level out the parametres within 24hrs, also have the power head turned off

so i grabbed a few rosey reds for him to see if he would eat those and nope he dont wanna eat them even if they bump into his face and etc.... all though i did notice that he been sitting like this the last day or so, i thought i member reading something about them being curled up like this somewere or maybe it was soemthing else ? anyone able to help ?

No I don't I normally feed him talapia I only got some rosey reds thinking as a last resort for him to try and eat, as he hasn't ate for a few....

He's sick not blind. Check your water parameters, just because you changed the water doesn't mean spit. He may have a swim bladder problem or a parasite, but you won't know till you test your water.

I did a test of ammonia and nitrate last night... And listed numbers above in a previous post...what's a swim bladder ? Or what's it caused by ? I'm unsure of what to do at this point really... And don't know were he would get a parasite from ? As he don't eat live food, I only got these few rosey reds as a last resort since he don't seem to eat

I agree has nothing to do with his eyes.

I'm leaning toward sick as well I had a mono that had no eye on one side and would respond to motion out of the other n he ate aggressively. Sloppy n missed 80 percent of the time but he always came to the side of the tank I was feeding on.

well dont know what else to do ? check my water and my nitrates are around 20ppm, and ammonia was .25ppm in the tank he is in now, so moved him into my big tank and sectioned him off till i figure something out or at least see him improve in eating, and alertiness... what else do you guy suggest ?
