you people need to understand, that its his fish, and he should do what he wants with it. I'm sure he knows what it can turn in to, but its also going to take a long time for that to happen. Let the man enjoy his fish and his progression thread without all the flamers. And most of you flaming i'm sure have fish that are going to get to big for your tanks as well.
All true, but it looked like there were more people on the it doesn't belong in fresh water for life as opposed to it will get too big too quickly for the tank.
Speaking of tanks, I missed where he said what size the big tank was.
Down the road it b in my 180 long acrylic tank, I will find 300 it b sharing with Arowana, polypterus Koliba bichir, n other cichlid n maybe bowfin later

Yes it is a true SW fish, But i'v seen a lot of people keeping them in fresh. Lots of salt water fish can live in fresh water without any issues, If you don't believe that you've never fished in florida before.

Yes you have a gorgeous fish.
Part of being on MFK is to help teach others about responsible fish keeping. I think that was the intention here anyway. It could've been perceived as a little abrasive even though that probably wasn't intended.
Many of us simply see too many huge fish in tiny tanks,in poor conditions and then someone asking for help. I think alot of these posts came from pure frustration. It gets really old but we are always here to help.

He just added an arapaima to the grow out tank 
. If I built a tank that was 15x6x3 maybe ill get an arapaima to grow out and enjoy for a few years. Don't know if I could fully feed it though.
