Normally when males reach that size they start to fade or lose their pattern at the bottom, but that guy has a perfect pattern, he was a stud. You asked me a couple years ago why I let my pair go so I have to return the favor.....What made you let these guys go?

The offer was too good to resist. Funny thing is I spent all the money in a day and was staring at an empty tank when I got home. So to answer your question, money was the reason. Oh and I had growouts too.
 
Nice fish guys! Lopaka sold off his Beani but I have a group of 7 in a 10' long tank. They all get along great so far (average size is 7") but not expecting that to last.
