i hope to breed these two sometime in the near future. i've had the female for about a month now, and the male for about a week but here are a few pictures of when i first got them and how they are now

wow man what are you feeding this beast! i just got a couple of "zz red's" well thats what they were labled as i want them to grow a nice size kok, i know that genes have a big part in this but i know that food and water also play a part in this? any tips for a first time fh owner?
haha i can offer what i know, but like you im a first time flowerhorn owner too. these are my first flowerhorns. my female eats about anything i throw in there while my male only eats sumos and freeze dried shrimps and bloodworms. im trying to get him onto nls thera a because i heard it was a much healthier choice than grand sumos. so after this week ends, i plan on starving him once i fatten him up a bit. lets hope that someone with much more fh experience will jump on this thread and help us out haha
