It's either WC or Thailand. Either way you probably have a better shot at IDing the second gunman on the grassy knoll.

Looks sweet! And cheap!

LOL... yea its wild, I thought it looked good too... are there wild occuring hybrids?

If its coming in with his Pimas then its WC and not from Thailand. He gets his Pimas from SA. And yes undoubtedly there are natural occurring hybrids.

Yup, I see now theyre from SA, first reply was just an assumption.

Yes, "Mantilla"s are believed to be naturally occuring hybrids. If you do some digging I had a "Mantilla" years back that looked just like all the other "Mantillas" only difference was mine was a CB Hybrid bred at an aquarium here in the states. I believe it was Motoro X Hen. John Rare could tell us for sure, as it was his before it was Stingrayguys, then mine, now resides with Clearwaterguy.

"Mantilla" was just a guys name that either discovered or imported them, dont remember which.

Thanks DB, i didnt know that... and actually found a pic of your old ray. I just might have to buy this one...

make sure to CYA purchasing anything from that source......

Yea, ive heard some horror stories... I wont do anything until its actually in the country. But hes close so I would pick up and deal with any issue on the spot.

Thanks for the warning though

I think the true mantilla rays come from Brazil. That looks like one of the "cheap" peruvian undescribed species.
