Some of the marbles on this thread have a pearl pattern in the spots which makes me think there is a good chance that it is a cross.

Look at the perimeter spotting around the main spots on the disk. Notice that many(not all) of the rays pictured here and in the pearl thread have the same pattern? As the rings break up they turn into what is considered a 5 star pattern. The idea has been floated around that Boesamani,pearl, marbles etc etc may all be the same species. At first I was doubtful but when you keep an open mind you start to notice the similarities that make this a possibility.

If you look at brents "brazilian motoro" its like a missing link...lol

Interesting theory. I feel the same way. A lot of really nice marbles look similar to pearls. Hopefully someone can do more scientific research and put it all out there for us.
