Rio yucao orino update everyone!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
He's definitely unique and his development looks different from a rio meta.....try to find the old thread when jose first got his rio negro and see if they look similar.

I posted once before about this guy being rio negro and everyone told me no, just another rio meta. He is different looking then most rio metas I seen. Doesn't really have that blueish tone on his fins and the 3 circle ocellets on his side all connect as you can see in the pic. So I'm lost at what variance orino this could be, either way I love it's unique patterns!!

this was prior to moving them to the 480. Not much in the blue department.

I would say yes to Houdini having the biggest Yucao.

When I sold him that Yucao it was 6.5 inches back in the middle of August last year.

I grew that fish from 1.75 inch to 6.5 inches in exactly 2.5 months. If Houdini kept with the same care in feeding and water changes as I did , then now way could anyone elses be bigger.

What batch did they come from? I ordered mine from the first batch at the end of may. I find it extremely hard to believe an Orino with that growth rate.

Hopefully Houdini can share some pics so we can see ourselves how big it is now!! Anyone else have pics of theirs?? I know rapps went through the batch fast so there has to be more out there!! They are pretty quick I would say compared to my other orino who I had for many months before these guys. My runt yucao is still small.
