Rio Guaviare orino, whos got em???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
No argument intended...I've seen hundreds of orinos come though my warehouse from now 4 different locations. I have seen 2 spot, 3 spot, line to tail, line through tail variances all in the same group sometimes. All that this supplier has sent me as orinos I know turned out to be orinos.

I'm saying there more varieties and locations that bass are being collected from now that old stickies may not be doing any good in terms of identifying new locations. Rio Guaviare is a river with many rapids that feeds into the Orinoco. I do not know of anyone else who has imported these in the past for comparison. To my knowledge only monos, temensis and orinos are found in Colombia.

Here are the same exact fish in my tank in non-stress pattern. What do you think they are - possible monos?

So how rare are these guys??

I'm no expert on pbass....but have either of you seen what Rio Guaviare orinos look like as juveniles to know what are their traits? Here are 2 adult Rio Guaviare orinos that I received from the same shipment, caught in the same area. Are they not orinos

Sure, we all seen them. They look like Rio meta orinos or Colombian orinos. Doesn't matter what river they out of in Colombia, they will all look the same. Location is to close for major differences.
And....looking at op's pictures, they are not orinos. Even the "sticky" said so.
