  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Native fish possibly? I sport fish and see many species that would be great in a tank.bullhead catfish, perch, crappie, etc.another idea is 5-8 silver dollars.redhooks or the rarer ones look nice also

2 albino bichirs, 3 rope fish, leopard ctenopoma, Butis Butis, baby whale, African Butterfly, 2 South American Puffers, Jaguar Cat, an couple Angels,
These are the fish I keep in my 125 oddball community tank. Except for the Butis my big 5" died now I've just got a lil 2" in my grow out tank. They will all eat blood worms that's a nice thing about them. I've tried Eels but the ones I've had we're picky eater. Would only take live worms. Most of the time I'd have to defend him while he ate. Pain in the butt. I have also tried to keep a crocidilepike head but is is also a really passive eater an would not even attempt to eat if another fish was near him. He died about 3 weeks later

I'm all about the SA Leaf fish and crocodile fish. It's pretty cool to feed them and see them flash out of hiding. Plus, they don't really bug each other. You could plant the tank pretty heavy too for cover and ambush.

Anableps - They are cool, you can breed them and they are not to hard to keep.
Those look very cool, but I can't really add salt due to the fact that the tank shares a sump with my SA cichlid tank.

lots of birchirs...
I've been thinking that, but I would also need some topwater fish I think.

A large school of rainbows would look impressive and you could add something else.

datnoid(s)?
Maybe that could fill out the mid/topwater of a Bichir tank....

Natives are a no-go because I can't really lower the temp due to the shared sump. Silver Dollars could be cool, the only problem is I could see myself moving them into my 210 once they grow out a bit.

Love the Ctenopoma! I do want easy-to-feed fish if possible - two toddlers don't leave a lot of time to coax fish to eat. :nilly:

Denison barbs .... School of a dozen or so would look amazing.

Few other peaceful fish ....
Denison Barbs are gorgeous.

Maybe I should start by trying some plants.

2 Gulper cat
I love the look of Gulpers, but do they move much? Fish that are too sedentary can be a tad boring....
