Keeping Exodons with Piranhas

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My LFS, which is aquascape, has them for $7 a piece. The problem with buying baby reds is that if someone wanted to add more fish to their existing pygo tank small reds would be gone within days. While at list the tetras have a chance to make it at least for some time (arguably).

Pricing is about the same around here, CHicago.

electric yellow and yellow tail cichlids, Malawi

I thought those were yellow labs, but I was watching it on my laptop so I wasn't sure. How do they interact with the P, do they just avoid him or are they just oblivious to the possible danger? I noticed that sometimes with cichlids they just don't seem to notice the possible dangers. In a way I feel that that is one reason why they can live with bigger aggressive fish. It is like they confuse larger fish because they don't think they can get hurt, so the other fish start to think that they can't hurt them.

They'll be chomped maybe today, maybe tomorrow maybe next year, just because their exos doesn't have any relevance, unless it's a pygo its going to be eaten and sometimes pygos go after each other!

Yup. listen to him.

They know the danger but do not panic as other fish and just hide when the Rhom is on patrol.
When they grow bigger they will be eaten but as long as they reproduce before they get eaten there will be little yellow with my Rhom :)

Exodon is a scool fish and this doesnt work with my rhom, they swim after each other and forget the Rhom and that is when he attacks.
So i just have one exodon left, he has survived voor 6 months now.

^ that exodon sounds like a beast. Are exodons fast? Like comparable to giant danios?
