Keeping Exodons with Piranhas

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I dont have photos but I have seen success for as long as two years in a large tank @ Aquarium Adventures. Then the Pygo's ate them all.

Lmao@bomber

So they were 8 inch piranhas with 3 inch exos? How do I know they were constantly replacing them. Exos disappear when they're in a species only tank, now I'm to believe they weren't with red bellies?

Sorry guys, I'm a nonbeliever

I have done this in the past and they have live together for several years. Sooner or later they will be lunch. But like I said they some excitement to the tank for now. Nothing is a for sure thing when it comes to piranha that's even other piranhas.

I used to keep Exos with various large Pygos and Serras. Worked fine short term, lost some here and there as time went on but replace them as you see fit.

How cheap are you guys getting these exos? They're 20 a piece in my city when I can get baby reds for 6-8 bucks a piece

My LFS, which is aquascape, has them for $7 a piece. The problem with buying baby reds is that if someone wanted to add more fish to their existing pygo tank small reds would be gone within days. While at list the tetras have a chance to make it at least for some time (arguably).
