will my jaguar cichlid take over

i have a 125 gallon with about 7 new world cichlids all under 5 inches (my dempsey is pushing 5 tho) the two most aggressive species i have are aflowerhorn(heavy trimac blood) and a jaguar cichlid ,all fish are generally peaceful (even the flowerhorn) with the exception of a face off or two once in a wile. the thing is my jaguar cichlid is pretty much the runt of the tank, when i bought him he was the biggest of his litter and was very light in color which is supposed to mean he was dominant. my dempsey and a couple other of my fish put him in check and he is now jet black meaning he is submissive (and hes about 2 inches smaller than the others),will the fact that he is growing up with many other fish that are larger than him and he is always seeing them and eating with them mean he may have more tolerance toward other cichlids?? please feel free to

If he's anything like my dovii was then no he won't always be laid back.

I've had mine since he was an inch long. He was raised with Oscars ad the one day when he was about 6 inches long and Oscars about 12 inches he snapped on them and everything else in the tank. Needless to say he got removed real quick.

I thought mine was going to be laid back too but I was way wrong. I know your jag may be a little more laid back than the dovii but I doubt he'll be totally chill. Especially when his teeth come in and he realizes what he can do with them.

I have a 14 inch jag male and a 12 inch female living with fish that go down to 2-4cm in size all in a 180G a lot of people see the tank and wonder how everythings not dead lol. red terrors, flowerhorns, trimacs, umbees, dovii all in there. I find my jag will bash other fish if they come near his side of the tank otherwise he just chills around there all happy until other fish fight, for some reason as soon as a fight starts he comes and chases the 2 fish like a peace keeper. So maybe I just trained him well XD.

Being a cichlid they are all different but I find jags to be more laid back, theres the odd nut job but most are relaxed. Just grow him up with the other fish they will fight here and there thats normal, if fish start getting chunks taken out then its time to remove him.

hes def the runt, the other fish chase him here and there so maybe he will be cool, i had a 8 inch jag for a few months but got rid of him cuz he was wierd he would bareley eat so now i wanna raise one myself. im happy about this though i love jaguars!
 
Same things happened with one of my jags for a fair few months to. She still doesn't eat a whole lot in one feeding though. but begs for food every time she sees someone.
 
JAGS AND DOVIIS HAVE DANGEROUS MOUTHS, I SAW A DOVII AT MY LFS ABOUT 14 INCHES IN A 40 BREEDER I PUT MY HAND NEAR THE GLASS HE CHARGED THE GLASS AND BIT IT , IT SOUNDED LIKE TWO ALUMINUM BATS BEING BANGED TOGETHER I SERIOUSLY THOUGHT HE WAS GONNA BREAK THE GLASS LOL, AND I SEEN A JAG DO THE SAME ..ALMOST
