I caught this yellow perch out of the boat last st. patty's day. I missed the Pennsylvania state record, but it is the biggest I have ever caught. It was 15 inches and 2 pounds 6 ounces. It doesn't have the same yellow belly, but it still turned out pretty nice. It shrunk a little bit. I took a string to it, and it still measures around 14 3/4 inches long. Now I need to find a place to hang it!

Wow,I wish mine would hurry up and get some size on it.Mine is just a few inches...four maybe.I didn't know they got that big....Good looking result though.Do you have a fish room or office in which you could hang it?

They are often considered the best tasting freshwater fish....walleye and crappie are up there as well.

toga perch.jpgI caught several in the 13-14 inch class through the ice this year. I've never even seen a 15 though...that inch makes a world of difference. One day
