Got a good deal on a eheim 2260 tho the impeller needs to be replaced. (Got it for even less)
Searched on here for tips as to where to find one for NOT $75+.
Cheapest ive come across is about 65$ shipped.
Anyone know of any sites or vendors that carry this part?'

EHEIM PART #7653068 (60 Hz)

Good luck. I have a 2180 Pro and had to drop closer to $100 for mine. Eesh.

Ordered an impeller for $50 shipped and then was referred by another user here to someone selling the entire pump but it was missing the back piece (so no model info printed) When I get home with it I notice its a 1262 pump!!!!! Sweetest deal I EVER got. Also paid 50 for this 1262 pump ;)

That's not bad. I paid about that for my 2180 Pro with a couple HUGE boxes full of parts, pieces and OEM media. I don't mind needing to pay about $100 for a part considering the deal I got. :naughty:

Post a pic of the inside of the pump cover or volute or look at my pics for a comparison.

Since the back cover is missing, it is possible the previous owner changed the pump cover on a 1260 pump, the only sure way to know is to measure the watts of the pump.

The impeller is the same for the 1260 and the 1262 pump.

Thanks. I will check that tomorrow I even have a 1260 pump to compare it to.

I know that I tried to swap the volute and the piece that turns to lock it in place between my 60 and this pump and it would not lock into place.

I also noticed that this pump has two grooves that are hollowed out directly along the impeller shafts opening if that makes sense. Also the same piece that goes in the input can be unscrewed and fits into the output. (I have two tho)
Ill check for sure tomorrow tho.

I see that online the 1262 comes with interchangable output adapters. I'm trying to locate the correct part number for the narrower output adapter but many sites show it as the same part# as the one on a 1260 and I tried swapping mine out from a 1260 but the hole is just too large on this put to thread the output adapter into it.

The two grooves you refer to are, I assume, slots that are part of the impeller well area. The slots are called cooling/lubricating channels and permit water to dissipate any heat and keep the impeller wet.

Now about swapping the pump cover/volute and the holding ring/latch from the 1260 pump to the used '1262' pump. The holding ring/latch is the same part number so it should be interchangeable. The pump cover/volute should also be interchangeable even though they are different part numbers. Try just using the 1260 holding ring/latch on the used '1262' pump. See if it latches easily. If it doesn't, look and see if the leg of the latch is contacting the plastic portion of the output port. You'll have to hold the pump at an angle to see if that is the problem.

I've not seen the 1262 pump come with interchangeable input/output adapters. Post or PM me the link if you can, as I haven't been able to find any searching online.

I'm not sure what you mean by this statement "I'm trying to locate the correct part number for the narrower output adapter but many sites show it as the same part# as the one on a 1260 and I tried swapping mine out from a 1260 but the hole is just too large on this put to thread the output adapter into it."

If you have a stock 1262 pump, the fittings from the 1260 pump should fit in both the input and output ports. The large fitting you show in your first picture is not the same as the fitting that installs in the suction port on the canister filter because it has a nut on it to secure the hose. The stock suction fitting for the canister uses a hose clamp to secure the hose.
