My 2500 gallon concrete mega tank project

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Why did you go so thick about the glass? My tank is also water level 100cm, and i came away with 19mm. It is some special bulletproof glass i have tho, but still.

It looks sweeeeet!!

Aquarium dimensions are 600x170 cm (236x67 inch) and there is 100 cm (39 inch) water level. Tank volume is 10000 litres (2650 gallons). Front glass panel has 3,8 cm (1.5 inch) thickness.

Wow thats nearly 20' long x 6' wide x 3' tall!

While height is the main factor I think the length would also start to effect the thickness required when you start talking about huge increases, his window is over twice as long as yours! (and yours is massive!!!)

Tank looks cool, I like the industrial look too, though something tells me you've got a lot more planned for the space than bare concrete...

This is true. Height and length effect the pressure on the glass. Front to back does not matter.

Great build so far. I cant wait to see you you finish the room off!

You have a wonderful project going on here! I love what you did with the staircase. Definitely subscribing to this thread.
