ok, got a big piece of insulation, before on my smaller betta tanks i just taped it to the back. my question on my 6ft tank what would you use to keep it attached to tank. I dont really care it it doesnt look great since this is the fish room and well it is my man cave. would a piece taped to the back be economical to keeping heat in. I am looking for anything to save a dime. lol

I used white duct tape on white insulation board and it looks pretty good - use a long strip along the edge instead of short pieces going the other way (I hope this makes sense).

Is the top covered? Sump? Those things covered does far more then covering the sides and back.

I have glass tops... also since covering the sides and back most of my tanks do not require heaters anymore.. stable at 75

I put it on the bottom, back, and 2 sides using gorilla tape, does wonders and has been a life saver during power outages when I also cover the front.
