Past and Present(Major Load Warning, seriously)....

That's kind of what happened to my Chinese Perch that I got from R1....He sent me two of them and they were real eating machines and they ate so many guppies at one time I think it had something to do with their death.I have been searching for at least one more ever since they died.

I seriously think it is an over feeding thing with them as I've had plenty of fish get stressed from over eating but never any real harm except perhaps longterm. The Chinese Perches seem to really over stress though. I lost 5 Chuatsi juveniles to what seemed like overfeeding and the Scherzeri. After large feedings they'd gasp desperately, lose their color and sink like rocks. As for sourcing one the only people I've seen with them is Rare Fish and Jeff Rapps though you might give Oceanstateaquatics a try as from what I've seen he's brought in some rare off season fish. Gulpers which seemed to disappear around here he's had he's got African Aro's at 12-14 inches right now as well as Leptobotia Elongata a fish I've only seen Wes and Jeff have in the past. So give Scott a try as he's good with communication and is always willing to try to source things for people if he can.
