I wanted to ask with this SEIO 1500 pump, where does everybody think the pump should be located at. Where should the strongest current be at? I have it now pretty close to the bottom of the tank.
Thats how my current is set up. My payaras loved it. This is the ideal setup for the strongest laminar flow.
I picked up the two pack of the sun sun powerheads on ebay and have to say they are incredible for the price.

Awesome set up. I put one of the RIO 2500's on the other side of tank going along the front glass! That's the ticket man thanks your the man!

I have the corner of the tank set up with RIO 2500's stacked with a SEIO 1500 gph. I have all the pumps with tubing for air so air shoots across the back glass. Its great especially the air from the SEIO when it hits the RIO's. I have another Rio on the left front and the bigger Eheim wet dry with long spray bar facing down also shooting air bubbles into the tank. I added a piece of Driftwood on the left. Anybody think i should take the wood out. Hes not skittish and was actually chasing my hand( possible puncture wound lol)today when i was organizing the pumps.
He ate a Jumbo market shrimp today injected with vita-chem and stuffed with a few Hikari long pellets!

I been feeding a few jumbo shrimps a day stuffed with Hikari Pellets! Any other ideas for food? I cant get my Armatus to eat silver sides, he only eats the shrimp and floating krill. Should i not feed for a few days so he will start taking whole silver sides? Anything else i should be stuffing inside the shrimp?
If he's eating the krill, wait a few days and put some krill in and some floating pellets. Odds are good he'll eat pellets and not even notice that he did. He's well on his way to eating pellets.
Okay so then is this my goal to have him on Hikari pellets? I actually can stuff 6 pellets in a jumbo shrimp. They stick out on the ends but he always eats his shrimp. I was just thinking he only eats live fish in the wild and i want to give him the healthiest food. Are Hikari pellets the best food for him long term? Should i try and get him to eat the silversides?
