I have posted a pic of my leucistic snakehead before which was identified as Channa striata.

It has grown larger and this is how it looks like now(snapshot of a video):

Just curious and to confirm,... is this a Channa striata. The shape of the head and position of the eyes "reminds" me of Channa marulioides and Channa marulius.

I am hoping it is something less common than Channa striata. Maybe just my fat hope...

thats a leucistic channa straita

chronick, is it this type different with albino type? I mean I never seen this one, but albino have. Maybe a bit different with the colour is it? Correct me if I'm wrong... :) My LFS here got a few striata but they said albino. Maybe if I have time to take some pic I'll post it.

Hi,

albino s have red eyes, leuscistst have "normal" eyes. In fact thats the only difference

yea, brucki is right. albino have a red/pink eyes. leucistic is more rare and the animal is white with normal eyes.

a lot of people identify leucistic fish as "platinum"
