Watch the 2yr update vid or keep flipping back you will see what females got kept.......thanks for your post
Well its a small world lol. Thanks foor subbing, I had no clue you were a sub. Let me get your name so I/we can sub back(If we aren't subs already). Man this latest batch that we have that is getting grown out by my brother has some real monsters! They will be 4 months old on march 7th, but they have the worst case of crazy that I have ever experienced! The bigger juvies are eating the smaller ones whole! The growout process isn't as easy as it seems when dealing with these hybrids. He works a lot so he kinda cut back on feeding. Well the big guys still eat good! Lol well you notice the time and patience it takes to raise these fish... I know you know that anything that brings great reward takes time and patience lol! Now I have seen your signatuure say the same thing for a long time... Surely you found you some marbled convicts by now? If not, since you stay tuned you should know we both have spawning pairs of them. Convicts were my first cichlid to spawn with so when I seen the marbled look I had to get them. We will have plenty of them to sell in a few months. So just let us know.
I don't post anything on YouTube I'm just a window shopper. Lol. That's crazy that your bigger juvies are the eating the smaller ones! Its really survival of the fittest. Yea taking care of my 100ish (just a guess) is such a chore. I'm always siphoning out their poop. Once at night and once in the morning. I have to do a 90% WC every other day or so to keep it clean. I bought some pothos plants to help me out with the water quality so well see how much it helps. If it does its job I may end up stuffing their tank with all pothos!
True about time and patience. I just wish I had more tanks and space to do more projects until these fry growout. That's probably the reason why I'm impatient with them. Lol. I can't breed anything else right now.
I did find a couple of calico cons but I'm always looking for some that are heavily marbled. Maybe its me but do your calico's seem to grow slower than regular or pink ones?
Definitely keep me in mind if you want to get rid of some fry later down the road. Maybe we can trade fry too.

So, I will show updates on a thread of her own... I think she might make for some good discussion!
Great question Mr. Aggression! I will make a new thread later today of her starting off answering your question. But just to kinda answer your question... She has had the most ass whoppings of all the females I kept but they never did kill her like they did the others. To be continued...That's crazy. Did you notice the fading begin after removing another more dominant fish or anything?
