I'm going to switch over to NLS after reading Poblos articles on his foods . How ever when I do can I just switch the food like bam or do I need to ween the fish to the new food ?

Depends if the fish take it. If they eat it, you're good. You shouldn't notice adverse effects from switching brands.
I used to feed my cichlids NLS exclusively but now I got 60+ fish ranging 3" and up I can't do NLS because it's too expensive. I roll with Ken's Premium Cichlids pellets now. 5 lbs for $22 as oppose to NLS $55. My cichlids been eating Ken's for months now, same beautiful color, nothing's changed except for more cash in my wallet.
they should take it to it strate away!
I think I read the NLS and the first/main ingredient is wheat something aka filler crap. Correct me if I'm wrong....

That's incorrect. The first ingredient is a fish meal, white fish if I remember correctly.
Actually the 1st ingredient is whole antarctic krill meal then whole herring meal---NLS can't be beat
New Life Spectrum. Is most definitely the best. I still would mix it up though, a little Hikari and Omega One won't hurt.
