Hello,

I've read all around and I'm pretty sure I have everything I need to get my fish but I have one question I cannot find an answer too. If I was too not upgrade my tank size from 70 Gallons. What would happen with my fish. To my knowledge fish grow to the size of their tanks but after reading there are a lot of people weary of this small of a tank. I just want to get all my ducks in a row here. Any information would be amazing. Also any tips?:D

PBASS get too big for 70gal...fish growing to the size of the tank is a myth. That would be like saying lets put a human in this 3x3 box and hope it doesnt grow to be 6 foot.

Great size grow out tank for some young ones but would have to upgrade after awhile so they would have room to swim freely and stay healthy.

I have seen a lot of folks in this subforum suggest that 180 gallons would be the /absolute/ minimum size for 1 or 2 pbass for life. If you wanted something like temensis, you'd be better off with 400+ gallons, and I've seen folks even suggest 600. Be mindful of your aeration and filtration too, they are super messy!

Even with a 180g it is only 24 inch depth and I'm pretty sure ocell get bigger than that even though a 180 would house a couple for a while but I was told 300g is your best bet

Thanks guys! I will get one ordered and be on the lookout for a bigger tank for transfer. Money is no problem for a 300 gallon or something I just was tryng to save some space in the living room lol. My old lady will have to deal with it :)

Thank you! One more question how much time do you think I have to work my magic on the lady lol. How quick will it grow out of a 70 gallon
