Festae......the introduction (Pic Heavy...LOAD WARNING)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I just love the lighting on this setup! Man, you're lucky to get that male, he's gorgeous!

I agree, he is indeed one great looking male. Hey, I'd be happy just seeing him healthy & eating, no matter what it was. Jeff did a great job saving that beast, and now he's got an awesome new home to spend his mature years. Hopefully the pair plays nice with their tankmates, they are a great addition to your big tank.

Update......they have spawned! Been traveling a bit over the last several months so of course it happened while I was gone, but they spawned regardless. Looks to be around 100 or so and they are currently hanging out with mama pretty much everywhere. They move from end to end and surprisingly things have been pretty mellow with the other tank mates. I pulled the Pearsei out, but not because of the Festae. The Argentea was wearing him out so he's putting on some more size in another tank.

She's been keeping to the back of the tank and he's been quite the camera hog as of late. He's definitely colored up a lot since the spawn and never misses a meal. Filling out nicely and has quite the personality. Very interactive fish, but remarkably tolerant of tank mates in general, at least for now.
