Hey guys, my county water quality been mess up for awhile now. Some days the ph is high, and other days the ph is low. I figure out the worst time to use county water is when it raining hard outside that throw the water quality off. So What day of the month do the county add chemical to treat the water? And when the best day to do water changes
So I can avoid the highest point of the water treatments process.

I would suggest contacting your local water treatment plant and asking what days they treat the water and usually if you ask they will give you a breakdown of what chemicals are used in the treatment,

most water plants are going to be treating water every day, so you 'll have to test your tap water to see what the readings are day to day.

You should just get a R.O. System. Makes life a lot easier when keeping fish. Or age the water for a full 24hours and that will calm you water fluctuations down a lot.

I would do all of the above. I use a trash can that is only for my aquarium for water changes so i can treat and test the water to make sure that the water is within parameters before pumping it into the tank.

I was thinking about large trash cans or water totes and add primes and a use filter on it to run for a few days before I do a WC.

It is super easy I use the Rubbermaid Brute can. it holds 30 gallons and you can get a dolly that clips on to the bottom that rubbermaid also makes for these cans, so you can just roll it over to your tank and drop in a submersible pump and pump it into your tank. It works great. very stable. i have to wheel it from the kitchen were i fill up the tank to the livingroom that has a 1/2 in. transition between the floors and it is easy to get it over that even when completely full.

To age water either just let it sit or put a air stone in it, pretty easy

Ok guys, I'm going to get a large container of some sort and get this process going.
