so i have 5 sponge filters going ( biggest they make ) in my 55, debating on another 1 or 2 more. plus two HOB filters.. what do you all think?

Not quite the biggest they make:
But, nice amount of bio-filtration none-the-less. IMO, adding any more would be a waste of space and effort since the BB would likely not find enough nutrients to metabolize and fully populate that many sponges.

I would put 2 filters on each side of the tank and 1 in the middle. Maybe open up the tank a little. Looks good tho.

swiss tropicals was selling a 13" cube for a while. it isn't listed anymore, but you may be able to order it anyway. if not, they sell a 5"x13"x13". I think stacking them to a 10"x12"x12" hamburg mattenfilter would look better than all those individual sponges.
theres a brace in the middle, so only can handle two HOB filters. thinking aquatech 30 60s ( two ) and two more sponge filters or 3 more.. and pile rocks up.
