Sea shell for a freshwater tank?

Hi recently i found a beautiful shell at the beach ani was wondering if there is away I could put into my freshwater tank should I boil it and soak it ?please help

If I could recall ,I think it will dissolved some type of chemical or it was some other thing can't remember

I once had to saw a shell open to free a kenyi. he shot inside & got stuck. I put the shell in a bucket of water. used a dremel saw. swished water inside so he could keep breathing.
so, if your tank is Lg enough that the shell won't raise your ph/mineral too much, FILL the shell with something. Lol.
he would've died if I hadn't seen him dart inside, & it was a nerve wracking chore

No problem at all if you have high hardness and ph water...
 
Ok cool and I probably won't have trouble with fish getting in side it's going in a goldfish tank 4ft
