I'm spending the day going around to a few other places. Pretty sad but it'll be worth it I think.

You did the right thing. I let an artist do what they wanted on a cover and they really didn't care about the work, just the money. Have a poorly done koi with little detail to show for it. Was last trip to that artist.

I even like to have the artists personal flare on a tattoo, that's what makes them unique and I like it to be fun for both people involved. I just felt like he wasn't working with me at all and it became more stressful than fun.

Just keep looking then. Best artist I had was almost 20 years ago. Haven't been overly happy with the last couple despite stellar portfolios.
