What's the Best, quality, powerful air pump??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm interested in this. I currently run 3stellar dual outlet pumps, I'm looking to combine them down to a single pump.

I have seen on eBay the that there are electromagnetic pumps by resun that push over 300l per minute....I was looking at the 70l per minute model...

Are these electromagnetic pumps quiet or not? My stellar are silent! The most quiet pumps I have heard....

Noise is an issue as my tank is very close to my bedroom and the wife cracks the chizzle if she can hear it!

(Funny thing she has a damn rooster as a pet that wakes me at 4am daily but that's ok....)

from what I've read in other forums they're supposed to be quiet, but I've never owned an air pump that didn't make some noise and I've never owned one of these...

My bud has something like that for the kids ballon parties but they are quite loud I'm sure I'll put plenty of oxygen into the tank but I do want it to be nice, peaceful, and quiet....

SO the boy u pump is amazing! Way bigger than I thought puts out lots of oxygen.. It is quite loud though when the knobs all the way up but when you're in the house you can just turn it
Down all the way and it's quiet as a mouse.. And still puts out quite a few oxygen and when you leave u can turn it up all the way. Money well spent

Technically it does not pump oxygen, it pumps air.

How many liters per minute per channel does it push?

I need more oxygen in my tank... I found this product, BOY U S-4000b and it doesn't have that much info, psi, or whatever, but it's up to 300 gallons... Anyone have anything better or any suggestions?

Here's for your Boyu S-4000B translated:
Aquarium air pump
Voltage: AC230/115V
frequency: 50/60Hz
Power: 9W
pressure: 0.014MPa
displacement: 4x3L/min
Weight: 1.56kg
Dimensions: 206x149x96mm

I have a Hailea ACO-9601 (single) and a Resun AIR-8000 (4 tubes). Both are quite good, 8 months and going strong. Water depth is 2 feet and the output is very strong. The Hailea ACO-9601 however is noticeably more powerful even though it is a single output compared to each of the Resun AIR-8000 outputs. Both are totally quiet, too. I have a Hailea ACO-308 and it is in the storage. IT IS NOISY. Steer away from those air pumps for ponds that you want to use in your in-house tank. You will have no sleep at all.
