ok, 125 with few piece of DW and some small rock formations for crawfish. ok it will be 4 big sponge filters and a wave maker for filtration. do yall do heaters. my goldfish tank in dead winter it was 62. degrees now with the descent hot weather it is 65, so i assume with summer the temp will go up. So with the rising temps and the dead cold of still 62. I wont need a heater will I. also is 8 sunfish/bluegill a good amount.

8 bluegill in a 125? They get 12" and very thick. Also very active IME. 4-6 is a safe amount, or if you want 8 get smaller sunfish like orangespotted.

is your 125 18" wide? if so I'd skip the bluegill and go with longears, pumpkinseeds, or greens. my largest gill is 12" already, I figure he'll probably hit 14"+.
6' x 1.5' you could go 8-12 of the smaller fish.

ok, did not know gills got that big, guess the place were I fish doesnt draw the big ones in, I love the pumpkinseeds but the longear and greens, not sure if they are in my neck of the woods. urgh not sure the width atm but i it is a standerd 125. i was thinking of ordering off this site, but i kinda wanted to keep it close to home since it is a native tank and collect from my home lake, idk why, just cool i guess. thanks guys, though i reall want a gill. i will live without then.

id like a bowfin to, fun to catch, what about the heater mentioned in OP, will need one

You won't need a heater. My tanks get down to the low 40s at times during the winter. And my fish do fine.

Blue gill are very rare to find at 12 inches. Ive been fishing for my while life and have never caught one over 12 inches, and I fish a lot. And they are generally smaller in aquariums. I would expect them to get around 10 inches with a lot of feeding. But I guess the type of sunfish could make a difference. They would be perfectly fine in your 125 for life, id jusy watch for aggression because they get territorial.
