I would say male. Hope you have a good sized tank for that guy. He is a potential 10-11 inch fish.

He's in a 55 gallon for the time being but I will upgrade as he grows. Right now he's just 3.4-4 inches. He seems to be adjusting well as he's not hiding like he use to. He's actually out and about a lot and has about 3 or more hiding spots.
