I got them at about .75 from Rapps last summer. So not quite a year. Biggest males are about 4 inches if I had to guess.

Mine were a year maybe alittle more befor they started to spawn. They also went through the motions for a while befor that finly spawned. It should happen the parents will chase the GT and cat away when the time comes. Unless tay are constantly stressed but from your discription everything sounds normal.
