I let my wife pick her ring and I paid 1500 for it a surprise is nice but it was better in the long run to let her pick price isn't important for someone that you are going to spend the rest of your life with

I spent around $6000 for a Tiffany wedding band, didn't buy an engagement ring because my wife is an engineer and she didn't want to wear a big rock. These days she wear the band on her necklace around her neck.

I don't wear rings, as any mishap at work would cost me a finger(shorting 48v with the ring can and will melt the ring on the finger).
