Who else thinks Rio Mags are the best looking Umbees.

This really is a strange thread that will get different opinions. Animal guy your post is not making sense, all those Amphs you listed are diferent species under the same genus. Gorillus and blue freckled Umbee are same species just different collection points. A more knowlegable example would be like Dovii: Honduran, costa rican,Nicarauguan!
Same species different points of collection making them same species!

I don't they are the best, I like my Black and Blues ones are, cuz their mine of course! I have Location X Magdelena growing out, I'll have to wait and see how they develop? I'm new to the Umbee Game! But your specimen is spectacular!

not a Rio Mag but still a blue umbee, from Lake Guatape :) I don't think I can choose a "favorite" between gorillus and the blues. I like them both because they offer something unique!

Thank you those picture do this fish zero justice and honestly I don't put this title on fish often and I'm not just saying it cause he's mine but in my opinion he's 100% worthy of show quality status he's flawless in every way shape and form

as for gorillus and bfm , Them both being Umbees is where folks got it twisted.

2 different beasts.

They share the name "Umbee" but they are different.

A. Istletas and barred A. Citrinellus are same fish too.
Just their names are different.
It's vice versa with these 2 umbees
