I had a spawn from my heavily marbled female and a lightly marbled male. Well most were pink and marbled. But there were a couple "white" ones that had some marbling too. Well I thought all would eventually get more color out of all of them but this main one didn't. It is white with white bars and no marbling. I just wanted to know how rare something like this is before I focus on it and grow it out because it is only about an inch right now. I will post pics later. Thanks

Sorry, the answer was in the statement - it's probably not all that rare due to frequency of convict breeding, but I'm just guessing. Maybe someone else can corroborate

I'm guessing the con is pink with white bars. If the con is white with white bars you won't be able to tell if there are any bars on the fish. I think I've seen this before and they occur naturally. Specially in pink female cons. A pic would be nice.

I'll get a pic later. I know everything under the sun has been done with convicts and I'm not arging that it hasn't been done. I really was just trying to see how many people have ever seen them or has seen a batch of them in their lfs. That's why I asked how rare they are. Sorry I didn't post the pic at the beginning of the thread.

They're not that rare but they're not common either.

Ok. Thanks, that's the answer I was looking for. It just threw me off to not see any marble but display solid bars. Its at a friends house and I just saw it yesterday and was amazed. I was also wondering how rare are albino convicts because it seems the only thing this one is missing is the red eyes?

I've been keeping fish since I was 12 and I've never seen an albino convict (I'm 22 now).
