Actually i know plastic pretty well, your best option would be to find a plastics store and laminate all sides with another sheet of acrilic get clear glue, it will chemically weld the sheets together and you can make the walls much thicker, i would find a plastics specialty store to do all the work on a tank that size, they can also beef up the corner joints, fix the pressure cracks and buff the whole thing overall, it would be like brand new but with thicker walls :)

That would be nice to have done, I'm sure it will cost more than an arm and a leg as well... I've always been a DIYer built 4 large plywood tanks that are still holding water. Acrylic and Weldon 40 can't be any harder than plywood and epoxy

Heres the blades i use on a daily basis to cut acrylic, no reason to pay for expensive ones :) im not sure of the brand blade on my table saw as it came used with the machine but you get the idea.
