Stocking a 120g, Suggestions?

I kept cichlids for over 10 years I can't stand them now. I already have some poly's in my 225, a stumpy short bodied albino and two larger ornates.

Just wanted to do something different, that is why I was thinking brackish. I only said no SA/CA cichlids, nothing about africans I love those guys

IMO, the fahaka puffer idea is the best one.

I would respond but I know nothing about marine or brackish so I'd've guessing. I like SW eels and Hawkfish but there's tons of stuff you could do

I would have said a large sa/ca community but you don't like them so maybe not... That is a big tank so you have a lot of options(alghough not a huge tank)... Maybe a reef tank if you have the money cause they are really expensive, maybe a florida gar, maye move your birchirs from the 220 in it and add a few more birchirs so you have more space in your 220 and have a nice birchir only or mostly birchir tank. Maybe you could look into an oscar even tough you hate new worlds...

well hey, thanks for calling me a nobody. one less person to respond in the future I suppose.

Sorry Gill Blue no offense was meant, I just mean that I kinda expected to get more responce in terms of Ideas.

just to clarify, I have no problems against a freshwater aquarium, I just don't want new world cichlids.

Right now I'm leaning towards either brackish or the fahaka puffer. The fahaka that I saw at my LFS is around 1.5-2" long, and it doesn't have fahaka colouration. I think it may be a mbu

Oscaroo, I already have a florida gar in my 225, I wanted to try something different in the new tank. As cool as a reef tank is I have done it before and I'm not looking for such a huge expense and commitment as a reef tank, as cool as it would be. I also used to breed oscars a few years back so I guess I have got them out of my system too. The only marine that appeals to me is the fish only tanks, but I know in a 120 I can only really have like 3 fish in there, and not sure I would like that.

PS thanks all for the renewed interest in my thread, I think what I said was wrong
