should i get a other Oscar or what should i get

Your fish seem to be growing very slow for fast growing cichlids. You have no room for anything else. A 4 foot tank is a 4 foot tank and doesn't matter if its a little wider. It doesn't allow you to put more fish in it. In a 4 foot 120 you should raise a show fish and that only. Oscars aren't show fish, fh are a waste, and it takes a very pure strain of jack dempsey to get a show worthy one.

My 75 is home to a single 3 inch F1 hogaboomorum. My other 2 were removed cuz he wants to be alone. Do yourself a favor and go that route with ur 120. A single beautiful fish can bring a lot more joy to you and interest from others than a tank full of fish with no room to swim.

+1 I agree with you completely. I don't understand why so many damn self righteous people feel the need to tell people what they should do with their tanks. This is supposed to.be.a helpful forum with kind people giving friendly advice and constructive criticism. Not "do yourself a favor and change something that makes you happy just to make my high and mighty self feel content with my one fish". True it may be in the best interest and health of the fish to have less fish, but there are ways to have well stocked tank and keep fish happy. Besides, its a hell of a lot better than the little box they're in at the lfs. Sorry for venting on your thread. I'm just sick if people trying to give you rules for your tank, as if they actually have a say.

Its good to vent but the OP starts threads like this on the regular and takes no ones advice on anything. I'm just giving him my opinion not telling him what to do.

Why is an Oscar or FH not a show fish? Sounds like an Opinion to me. I think Oscars are one of the most beautiful fish out there. But just my opinion.

Yea i gues it is just a prefrence, I really like more than 1 fish in my tanks

Flowerhorns are amazing, don't listen to any hybrid haters, thye have the best personality i have ever seen in a fish and are pretty to, only problem is, it will kill your Oscar, especialy in a 4ft tank.

My baby 6" Flowerhorn is on his own in a 4ft, i can't even put my hand in the tank, let alone get him a tank mate.

Go with what you like. Personally not a big fan of Fh but have seen some I like. Oscars are one of my favorites, just because they are common doesn't mean they have no personality. In the end it's your tank.
