After 2 weeks of depression of losing jar arowanas with unknown causes and with good water parameters, I've finally bought one which is a 9-11" which is now placed in my 50 gal this time (different from the other 3-5" which were placed in a 20 gal) for the meantime and planning to place him with my 2 3-4" senegalus bichirs but upon visual examination, there is a 75/25 guess that it won't work well because of the size difference. Take that aside, I would still like to push through with the idea but I don't know if the senegalus bichirs can catch up with the growth of the jar in 2 or 3 months... Now what I want to know is what is the growth rate of senegal bichirs (my google skills aren't good enough and there's no thread about it
)? does being an albino have an effect on their growth rate and max size? and if there is a good chance that I could catch their length or make them grow faster than my jar, what are the things I needed to do?
