Ok all... There are a lot of short body(or physically deformed) pure breeds out there. I love them! Lol But I'm making this thread to see what type of pure fish we as fishkeepers have yet to see. When one suggest something that is not seen and you know it is out there, try to provide a photo of the proof(if possible). I'll go first. I have yet to see short body Jack Dempsey's or Firemouth's.

Not a fan of short bodies, but I have bred atleast 2 shortbodied gold Jd's out of the few batches I have kicked out.

I saw a shortbody firemouth at my local Allfish emporium... If its still there next time I go there I'll snap a pic and maybe buy it, lol

How about a shortbody salvini? Jaguar?

Ok... Just the other day there was a thread on a short body Salvini. I see if I can copy the pic later. But as far as the Jaguar, I haven't seen one either. Now there are Jag/bp hybrids but that is not what I'm talking about. I want all pure forms.

Deformed (short-bodied) cichlids occur from time to time in a variety of species.

Matt

This I know... I created this thread to "see" them and for others to be able to "see" them. I'm really talking to bbreeders because they are the ones that cull these wonderful creatures. But some people get lucky and are able to see them in their lfs like Fish_Man_Dan. Thanks for the bump...
