I have a question for people who know how to grow evergreen seedling trees........

i found a couple of small seedling trees on the road side in my friends fields a long time ago.. well these wild evergreens turned out to be pretty awesome and fast growing since i planted them about 7 years ago.. now i noticed it is starting to produce some seed like pods ..unusal looking to me.. since i am use to cones etc on evergreens.. just thought i would ask if some one knows the procedure i should follow to help me grow a few more.. i do not want to pic them off untill i know the time is right and then of course i need some advice about planting them.......thanks if you can help........ these are one of my favorites.......fat and tall .......... this is what the seed thing looks like.. and theres quite a few of them..

I don't know much about trees, but it kind of looks like a froghopper aka spit bug is living in your tree. It's hard to tell from the pic. I could be mistaken.

no i checked it out... it is not spit type substance in any way.. this is hard.. but i can see how it looked like what you referred to...
