Thanks Jason! I feed them a mix of krill and spirulina pellets from kensfish. They also get frozen krill and red wigglers but the female refuses to eat them, she is actually afraid of the red wigglers! From time to time they get fed prawn that I breed but again she is afraid of them lol. She will eat cubes of freeze died brine shrimp though. I usually do a 50-75% water change weekly with a smaller one inbetween just to vacuum up their poop. Water temp is at 77-78°

I'm surprises she won't eat red wrigglers:/ I had her eating nite crawlers I bought from bait shop, which I was gonna advise implementing to help get her conditioned. I still think she's not eating enough to be conditioned for the spawned. Then try bumping temp up to 82 which should bump their metabolism also giving her more of an appetite. Maybe then she'll eat some worms. Other than that maybe when doin water changes use cooler water... But everything else sounds fine to me and they should spawn. If not what do you have that you can use as dithers?

I'll try bumping up the temp. She is definitely getting enough to eat, you should see the belly on her! I'm going to keep trying to feed her the worms, hopefully she will catch on that they are yummy. The other fish all splash me trying to be first to grab them haha. Currently I have a couple festae grow outs and a small green sunfish(he's so cute!) along with my two polys. They definitely don't let the other fish get near "their" pot but they aren't really aggressive about it. They will be removed when needed. I just had surgery last week so I'm having a hard time doing lots of big water changes but my mom is coming over today to help me with that. Hopefully these guys will get with the program soon!
