Thats terrible. There was a time in my life i had to call 911 for a craptastic situation and the dispatcher acted just like that to the point where i stopped panicking not from comfort or relief but because anger had taken over.

I been reading up on this story. Some messed up stuff. The guy made them celebrate an abduction day with cake on their anniversary and would attend their missing person rally. The girl who had been held hostage the longest has hearing lost and facial structure damage from being beaten. Police had been to the house a few times after neighbors called including a few people who saw a female naked on all four in a dog collar being kicked by the kidnapper

I'm still not clear on how the brothers spent anytime in the house and never suspected anything.
 
On a lighter note:

My kids were wearing shirts with little fish on them. And some lady at the grocery store continued to talk to them and entertain them. The lady looks at their shirts and asks "do you guys like fish?" My girls said "yes" the lady then says and "where do fishies live?" expecting a typical answer of the ocean but my daughter says "in our house" :)
