About this time last year I picked up 5 Tomocichla seiboldi at the gcca cichlid classic auction (I actually feel l stole them at $1 each. A new Cichlid classic starts this Memorial day weekend in Chicago, maybe I will see some of you there).
They were about 1" last year, I put them in a 40 gal to grow out.

You can see how small they were compared to the water hyacinth root.


Just moved them to a 75gal, 4 are now about 3", the dominant one is pushing 5".


And speaking of Tomocichla, their close cousin asfraci.

And a shot from years ago of a tuba, long gone.
