*cichlid* sorry had to, and may be a black belt

Thanks ... always open to all advice and input ... even my spelling mistakes. Felt kinda silly when I realized how I spelt it numerous times.

From what I just read on black belt's .... they have a vertical stripe, where I've never seen anything like that on this guy. Or is that something that developes as they get bigger?

I picked up one of these guys last weekend and so far so good with plants. I have also been feeding a full leaf of romain lettuce each morning and even my sevs are ignoring the plants.

I'm not overly concerned about the plants, something I was doing for my wife. The plants came with some of the driftwood as I was setting this tank up. Been doing a bunch of reading over the past 24hrs. and have realized .... I'm not ready for plants yet. Especially as I'm missing a few key pieces of equipment for them. Guess I'll save that for a later date on a smaller tank so I can learn what I need to do properly.

Looks like a synspilum to me

defenitly some kind of vejia cichlid... I am thinkin a hardwiggi or spylum...

Well I seem to be getting a few different ID's here .... although they all appear to be a type of Vejia cichlid from my understanding. I've since put him into his own tank until I know more about him, although I might just end up finding him a new home altogether. Thanks for the help everyone.
