December 2011 about 6:30 pm (Still fairly light as it was summer and the days are longer) I was out on my kayak in a wide part of the river, December is the Bullsharks breeding season where they swim upriver to give birth. I had an estimated 8' bullshark push my kayak from the back and turned me 90 degrees, there was a bit of a splash then everything went completely silent, everything went in slow motion, I looked to the right of me and seen a mega grey shadow that was coming up, it came up right next to the kayak, I have a 7' kayak and it was about a foot longer give or take, it looked right at me and me at it, i'll never ever forget that pitch black eye staring straight at me. Then with a big whip of its tail it went straight under again, I can honestly say I have never rowed faster in my entire life. Straight to the back where I dragged my Kayak for about 1.5km across sandbanks. And got a major bump on the row to the other side of the river. (Where I lived) It followed me the whole way. about a fortnight later I copped a fishing hook to the pupil of my eye, 4 stitches in my eye and an eyepatch for 3 months.
I can say December 2011 was not the best month.
